Ryan Frost is an Animator, Motion Graphics Designer, Illustrator, Compositor, Visual Effects Artist, and Filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California.
After receiving a B.F.A. in Animation from the School of Visual Arts in 2013, I was hired as a full-time freelancer by Zero Point Zero Productions Inc. For the past 5 years (give or take), I’ve spent roughly 6-8 months producing content for The Mind of a Chef, as well as graphics and animations for various other ventures. These include, but are not limited to: The Getaway: Season 2, animating a cartoon ad campaign for Volpi Into the Meat Cave, and illustrating sandwiches… 40 Best Sandwiches Ranked.
In the interim, I’ve jumped in and out of a few other small studios, like Kornhaber Brown, where I generated graphics for the MTV produced YouTube shows Decoded with Franchesca Ramsey, as well as Braless with Laci Green, and PBS: Space Time. I was also picked up by BUCK, to animate on a commercial for Walmart. (huh!)
Working in multiple small-team environments has taught me that versatility is key. I’ve gained experience in a wide range of techniques which can be applied to whatever a particular brief requires. It’s been a thoroughly enjoyable run thus far, and I’m always looking forward to the next gig!
When I’m not super busy, I enjoy quality time with my dog Hoagie, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and coming up with funky personal projects.
Thanks for your interest in my work!
